Minnesota Expands Driver’s License Access for All Residents

This week, Minnesota is granting access to driver’s licenses for all eligible residents, regardless of immigration status. Here are the key details:

Policy Change: Beginning on October 1, the state will accept driver’s license applications without requiring proof of legal U.S. residency, as mandated by a recent law. This change opens up opportunities for an estimated 81,000 individuals to obtain licenses, permits, and state ID cards.
