The United States Security Cooperation with Ukraine

By July 11, 2022July 14th, 2022No Comments

The United States provides its unwavering support against Russia’s unjustified war against Ukraine. The United States has used the emergency Presidential Drawdown Authority on fourteen occasions since August 2021 to provide Ukraine with more than $5.05 billion in military assistance. This nation is continuing to be a great provider of security assistance to Ukraine.

In 2022, the Department of Defense has provided $950 million in security assistance to Ukraine under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative. The Global Security Contingency Fund, a joint program of the U.S. Departments of State and Defense, has provided more than $42 million in training, and equipment to assist the Government of Ukraine. From assisting Ukraine with foreign military sales to border security aid and global peacekeeping operations, the United States has been active in helping this small nation overcome the tragedy of the Russian-Ukrainian War. The United States and other countries worldwide are united in the support of Ukraine.
