The U.S. Department of State has released the July 2024 Visa Bulletin, which outlines the availability of immigrant visa numbers for various categories of applicants. This bulletin lists priority dates that act as placeholders in the green card application queue. If your priority date is on or before the specified cut-off date for your category, you can proceed with the next step of your application.

This month’s bulletin includes significant updates in both family-sponsored and employment-based visa categories, noting any changes in cut-off dates and retrogressions for specific countries. Notably, there is a 10-month and 1-week advancement for India in the EB-1 category, and a 10-month advancement for the Philippines in the F-4 sibling category.

Understanding these updates is crucial for applicants to assess their current status in the immigration process and to anticipate when they might become eligible to move forward with their applications.
